TCC student-athletes earn FCSAA, PC all-academic honors

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (June 22, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College's academic all-stars have been recognized by both the Florida College System Activities Association and Panhandle Conference.

On Friday, a total of 46 student-athletes earned all-academic honors by the FCSAA and/or PC.

Twenty-nine student-athletes were named to the FCSAA's All-Academic Team for having attained a minimum 3.30 GPA, either during the current academic year or over multiple years.

The 29 FCSAA honorees were joined by 17 additional individuals to give the Eagles 46 representatives on the Panhandle Conference All-Academic Team.

To earn all-conference recognition, student-athletes attained a minimum 3.0 GPA, either during the current academic year or over multiple years.

Tallahassee's baseball team led the way on both lists with 12 FCSAA and 16 PC All-Academic selections.

Four student-athletes – softball's Brandie Callaway, Samantha Malik and Callie Paine, and baseball's Cole Vann – made the FCSAA honor roll for the second straight season.

Five student-athletes earned All-PC recognition for a second time.

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) will be the next group to release its student-athlete academic awards.
