#TCCXC: Randolph, Printiss pace Eagles at the ARP

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (August 31, 2019) – A schedule change netted an opportunity for Tallahassee Community College's cross country teams to open the 2019 season on its de facto home course, the famed Apalachee Regional Park. 

Running at the annual Big Bend Cross Country Invitational, the Eagles sent nine runners to the line for the community 5K portion of the event. 

Tallahassee was originally scheduled to head west to Panama City, Fla., for the Panhandle Cross Country Challenge, but opted to give its young squad a home event instead. 

Six of the Eagles' nine entries were making their collegiate debut on Saturday, including true freshman Daniel Randolph who won the event in a time of 19:01.60. 

Sophomore Dalton Gray gave the Eagles a 1-2 finish, crossing the stripe in 19:19.60. 

Freshman Keshawn Nelson placed fourth in 19:52.60 and fellow rookie Rodolph Adonis was sixth in a time of 20:02.00. 

Freshman Austin Erbaio gave the Eagles five of the top ten male finishers – he placed eighth with a time of 20:13.90. 

Freshmen Lord Wyrick (23:46.50) and Jaywaun Nubin (25:59.70) placed 17th and 21st, respectively. 

Meanwhile, sophomores Genevieve Printiss and Kendall Ward were the top female finishers. Printiss placed 10th overall in a time of 21:26.10 and Ward was 11th in a time of 22:20.40. 

The team will travel to Valdosta, Ga., on Friday for the annual Valdosta State University Border Clash.
