No movement in FCSAA coaches’ poll for TCC Softball

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 22, 2014) – For the fifth consecutive week, Tallahassee Community College received the No. 2 ranking in the FCSAA Softball Coaches’ Poll, released on Tuesday. 

The Panhandle Conference Champion Eagles, whose regular season is complete, received six of the 18 available first-place votes and 163 total points in the voting. As it has the previous four weeks, Tallahassee trails only top-ranked Indian River State College in the poll. 

In fact, the top five teams remained intact from a week ago – Indian River State, Tallahassee, Polk State College, College of Central Florida and Santa Fe College. 

Miami Dade College, who moved up two spots, leads the second half of the poll at No. 6 and is followed by Northwest Florida State College, Daytona State College, Chipola College and State College of Florida. 

Tallahassee is preparing for the FCSAA’s Gulf District Tournament, which begins in Pensacola, Fla., Friday, May 2. 

In the FCSAA Baseball Coaches’ Poll, Tallahassee is not ranked but did receive votes.
