Seventeen student-athletes earn summer academic accolades at TCC

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (August 19, 2014) - During the recently completed Summer 2014 semester at Tallahassee Community College, a total of 17 student-athletes earned honors recognition for their work in the classroom. 

The following student-athletes were named to the Dean's List (3.5-3.99 GPA): Taesha DuBoise, softball; Te Reo Powhiri Matautia, softball; Earvin Morris, men’s basketball; Maria Rivera, softball. 

The following student-athletes were named to the Honor’s List (3.0-3.49 GPA): Addesha Collins, women’s basketball; Christian Dicks, baseball; Ashley Heath-Smith, softball; Paris Johnson Jones, women’s basketball; Marija Pacar, women’s basketball; Duran Porter, men’s basketball; Bobby Rice, baseball; Cameron Smith, men’s basketball; Cheick Thiero, men’s basketball; Geremy Walton, baseball; Karley Yeager, softball. 

The following student-athletes received Merit Recognition (students who are in developmental courses and complete a minimum of six hours with a 3.0-3.99 GPA): Norbertas Giga, men’s basketball; Benedicta Makakala, women’s basketball.
