Eagle women end season ranked No. 7 in FCSAA poll

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 26, 2014) – Tallahassee Community College’s women’s basketball team ended the 2013-14 season with a No. 7 ranking in the FCSAA Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Poll, released on Wednesday. 

The Eagles, who played the nation’s toughest schedule according to the Massey Computer Ratings, ended the season with a record of 12-17. 

All five Panhandle Conference schools are ranked in the top ten led by No. 1 Chipola College and No. 2 Northwest Florida State College. Gulf Coast State College is No. 5 and Pensacola State College is No. 9. 

The rest of the poll consists of No. 3 St. Petersburg College, No. 4 Florida State College at Jacksonville, No. 6 Palm Beach State College, No. 8 Hillsborough Community College and No. 10 Indian River State College. 

On the men’s side, Tallahassee, who ended the season at .500 (14-14), received votes but was not ranked in the top ten.
