Eagle women drop to No. 4 in FCSAA coaches’ poll

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 3, 2015) – The new FCSAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Polls were released on Tuesday, just prior to this evening’s Panhandle Conference showdown against Chipola College. 

In the women’s poll, Tallahassee Community College dropped one spot to No. 4 after suffering a 20-point loss to No. 6 Gulf Coast State College last Wednesday.  Tallahassee received 108 points in this week’s balloting. 

Tuesday night’s opponent, Chipola, remained in the top spot followed by Northwest Florida State College and the College of Central Florida, who took over the No. 3 spot from Tallahassee. 

Florida State College at Jacksonville is fifth followed by Gulf Coast State, Eastern Florida State College, Daytona State College, St. Petersburg College and Miami Dade College. 

In the men’s poll, Tallahassee dropped off the rankings after being tied for No. 8 last week. Chipola is also unranked. 

PC rival Northwest Florida State is ranked No. 1.
