Eagle men, women slip in FCSAA polls

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 28, 2014) – Tallahassee Community College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams each slipped one spot in the Florida College System Activities Association’s basketball coaches’ polls, released on Tuesday. 

The Eagle men, who dropped games to Northwest Florida State College and Pensacola State College last week, dropped from No. 9 to No. 10. 

The top of the rankings continues to have a familiar looks – Chipola College and Northwest Florida State College, although the teams are now tied for the top slot.

The College of Central Florida is ranked fourth, followed by Eastern Florida State College, Daytona State College, Gulf Coast State College, Santa Fe College, Pensacola State, Broward College and Tallahassee. 

In the women’s rankings, Tallahassee and St. Petersburg College swapped spots, leaving the Titans ranked sixth and the Eagles seventh. That was the only change in this week’s top ten. 

Chipola leads the way, followed by Northwest Florida State, Gulf Coast State College, Palm Beach State College and Florida State College at Jacksonville. 

After Tallahassee at No. 7, the poll concludes with Hillsborough Community College, Pensacola State and Daytona State College.
