TCC men, women host Tallahassee Democrat Thanksgiving Classic November 26-28

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 21, 2013) – A Tallahassee Thanksgiving tradition returns to the Bill Hebrock Eagledome November 26-28 when Tallahassee Community College hosts the annual Tallahassee Democrat Thanksgiving Classic. 

The three-day event will feature six games and six men’s and women’s teams from across the Southeast. 

The Classic tips off Tuesday, November 26 with a pair of women’s games. At 5:30 p.m., perennial NJCAA power Walters State (Tenn.) Community College takes on Daytona State College. Then, at 7:30 p.m., Tallahassee plays host to Gadsden State (Ala.) Community College. 

Wednesday, November 27 will feature a tripleheader beginning at 1 p.m. when Daytona State and Gadsden State square off in women’s action. At 3 p.m., Southwest Tennessee Community College and Jeff Davis (Ala.) Community College will play in the lone men’s game of the event. The evening session will feature a 5:30 p.m. tilt between Tallahassee and Walters State. 

On Thanksgiving Day, the Classic will wrap up with a noon game between Walters State and Gadsden State. 

General admission is $5 daily. TCC students, faculty and staff are admitted free with a valid TCC ID. 

Following the games each day, fans are invited to attend the Postgame Party with the Eagles served by Applebee’s.
