TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 10, 2013) - Tallahassee Community College's baseball team put itself in the history books on Wednesday when it received a No. 2 ranking by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Tallahassee is one of two teams from Region 8 (Florida) in the NJCAA's Top 20 - Miami Dade College is ranked 11th. State College of Florida received votes.

The NJCAA wasn't the only poll to laud the Eagles - Tallahassee jumped two spots to No. 3 in Perfect Game's JUCO Top 25.

Perfect Game's rankings, which covers all two-year programs nationwide, has a strong presence from Region 8. Miami Dade is ranked No. 1 while State College of Florida is ranked No. 8.

Those same three teams lead the way in the FCSAA Baseball Coaches' Poll.

Tallahassee earned the No. 1 ranking for a fourth straight week and was a unanimous pick amongst the 22 voters.

Miami Dade, State College of Florida, St. Johns River State College and Gulf Coast State College held spots two through five for the second straight week.

Seminole State College and Palm Beach State College moved up one spot to No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, while Polk State College, Lake-Sumter State College and Broward College round out the top ten.
