Tallahassee’s Kevin Cruz earns All-Tournament honors in Lakeland

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 15, 2013) - Tallahassee Community College's Kevin Cruz was named to the all-tournament team at the NJCAA Gulf District/FCSAA State Baseball Tournament. 

Cruz, a sophomore from Tampa, Fla., played in all three of the Eagles' tournament games and batted .364 (4-for-11) with one run scored and three RBI. 

After opening the tournament with a 1-for-4 effort in Tallahassee's 3-0 loss to Hillsborough Community College on May 10, Cruz keyed the Eagles' win over St. Johns River State College the next day. In Tallahassee's 8-4 victory, Cruz went 3-for-5 with a run scored, a triple and three RBI. 

Cruz went 0-for-2 but reached base on a walk in the Eagles' final game of the season against Chipola on May 12.
