Seventeen student-athletes earn summer academic accolades at TCC

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (August 27, 2013) - During the recently completed Summer 2013 semester at Tallahassee Community College, a total of 17 student-athletes earned honors recognition for their work in the classroom. 

The following student-athlete was named to the Dean's List (3.5-3.99 GPA): Yanique Gordon, women's basketball. 

The following student-athletes were named to the Honor's List (3.0-3.49 GPA): James Abbatinozzi, baseball; Marina Cobbs, softball; Robert Garcia, baseball; Alexis Huss, softball; Te Reo Powhiri Matautia, softball; Trevor McDade, men's basketball; Earvin Morris, men's basketball; Cameron Naylor, men's basketball; Michael Saxton, men's basketball; and Taylor Wright, baseball. 

The following student-athletes received Merit Recognition (students who are in developmental courses and complete a minimum of six hours with a minimum 3.0 GPA): Karley Barnes, women's basketball; Krysta Hoani, softball; Brianna Murillo, softball; Cameron Smith, men's basketball; Elmo Stephen, men's basketball; and Dirk Williams, men's basketball.
