Eagles win 16th straight, head to PC play 28-5

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (March 11, 2014) – Tallahassee Community College won its 15th and 16th consecutive games on Tuesday afternoon, sweeping a doubleheader from Thomas University's JV squad, 11-7 and 5-1.

In the opener, Kyle Pausche was credited with the victory in relief.

Will Thompson, making his second start since returning from Tommy John surgery, went the first three innings and gave up four runs, although only two were earned.

The Eagles' bats, however, gave Thompson and crew plenty of run support, jumping out to a 10-4 lead through 3.5 innings.

Game two was much closer, but the Eagles still came out on top, 5-1.

Logan Elliot earned the win. Connor O'Brien got the save.

Dillon Jayne was 3-for-4.

Tallahassee is now 28-5 on the season and will open defense of its Panhandle Conference Championship at home when it hosts Pensacola State College at 5 p.m. Friday in game one of a three-game series.
