Eagles slip to No. 11 in NJCAA Baseball Poll

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 25, 2014) – Tallahassee Community College dropped seven spots to No. 11 in the latest NJCAA Division I Baseball Poll, released on Tuesday.

The Eagles' drop in the rankings is almost certainly tied to a 4-3 start to Panhandle Conference play. PC-leading Chipola College, who unseated the Eagles as the top team in Florida, also on Tuesday, is now the highest ranked team from Florida in the poll, checking in at No. 6.

After both teams went 2-1 in their first conference series of the season, Chipola took two of three from Tallahassee last weekend.

A third member of the Panhandle Conference, Gulf Coast State College, is ranked No. 16.

The top three teams in the poll remained intact – Connors State College, Delgado (La.) Community College and Howard (Texas) College. Chattahoochee Valley (Ala.) Community College, who the Eagles beat three times in February, moved back into the top five at No. 4.

St. Petersburg College received votes for this week's poll.
