North Florida Baseball Showcase returns to TCC on August 30-31

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (August 11, 2014) – The annual North Florida Baseball Showcase powered by Powermill will take place at Tallahassee Community College's Eagle Field, Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31. 

For more than two decades, the Showcase has been recognized as one of the best opportunities for high school baseball players. While being evaluated by numerous college and professional scouts, participants will receive the exposure needed to play at the next level. 

Past participants in the North Florida Baseball Showcase current Kansas City Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain, former Atlanta Braves outfielder Brandon Jones and 2004 NJCAA Division I Baseball Player of the Year A.J. Johnson, all of whom also played collegiate at TCC. 

Seventy-five spots are available each day and will be filled on a first-come basis. The registration deadline is August 27. 

Cost is $105. 

Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. both days and skill evaluations begin at 9:30 a.m. 

Participants should come dressed in baseball pants and bring their own equipment, including catching gear and helmets.
