TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 25, 2015) – The Tallahassee Community College pitching staff struggled to contain Northwest Florida State College on Wednesday as the Eagles dropped game two, 14-3, of a three-game series.

The Eagles are now 24-11 on the season and 2-3 in Panhandle Conference play.

The slugfest started in the first inning as the Raiders put up three runs to take a 3-0 lead.

The Eagles answered right back in the bottom half of the inning scoring a run to cut into the Raiders' lead.

Ethan Crout drew a leadoff walk and later scored on D.J. McKnight's double.

Tallahassee tied the game in the second when Crout's two-out single scored Robert Henderson and Jeremy Scott.

The Raiders didn't waste any time retaking the lead, scoring two runs in the top half of the third inning to take a 5-3 lead.

Both teams scored a run in the fourth inning as the Raiders maintained their lead heading into the fifth inning (6-4).

In the fifth, the Eagles couldn't find an answer for Northwest Florida State as the Raiders put up seven runs, including a grand slam, to take a 13-4 lead.

Unable to generate anything offensively, the Eagles saw the game come to an end after seven innings.

Henderson went 2-for-3 and scored once in the loss for Tallahassee.

Chris Elander got the start on the mound for the Eagles and surrendered 10 runs on seven hits.  With today's loss, he is now 2-2 on the season.

Craig Olson, Thomas Nicoll, and Micah Dunn all saw action on the mound in today's game.

The Eagles and Raiders will play the rubber game of their series at 5 p.m. eastern Friday in Niceville.
