TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 24, 2015) – A day after Tallahassee Community College's hopes for a third straight postseason berth were crushed by Northwest Florida State College, the Eagles returned home for a matchup against the Panhandle Conference Champion Chipola Indians.

On Friday afternoon, the Eagles closed their 2015 season by honoring their sophomore class, as it would be their final home game at Eagle Field. Head coach Mike McLeod, completing his 25th season at Tallahassee Community College, was also recognized during pregame ceremonies. The send-off for the sophomores, however, would be bittersweet as the Eagles lost Friday night's game to Chipola, 10-3.

The Eagles end the season with a 28-21 record and dropped to 6-13 in Panhandle Conference play.

Chipola started the game by getting two early runs in the first inning. After two scoreless innings, Chipola scored a run in the fourth, three runs in the fifth, and one more in the sixth inning as they looked to put the game away early.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Eagles finally got on the board. Tyler Kinard hit a first pitch solo homerun over the left field fence to cut the deficit to 7-1.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, the Eagles picked up some momentum as they scored two more runs. With the bases loaded, Chris Clark had an infield that allowed Kyle Taddeo to reach home. Moments later, Kinard hit a sacrifice fly to the right field foul territory to score Jeremy Scott and cut the Indians' lead to 7-3.

In the end, Chipola closed out the game with a three-run ninth inning to ultimately win 10-3. Chipola had 20 hits in the game compared to the Eagles' six.

Chad Mabini got the start for the Eagles and was charged with tonight's loss.  He finishes the season 2-4.

Craig Olson, Chris Elander and Cameron Paley all saw action in relief in tonight's game.
