MARIANNA, Fla. (March 7, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College opened its Panhandle Conference schedule on Wednesday, falling to Chipola College, 9-1.
The loss dropped Tallahassee to 16-8 on the season, 0-1 in PC play. Chipola is 18-6 overall (1-0 PC).
Wednesday's game went from pitcher's duel to runaway in two innings. The game was scoreless into the bottom of the sixth, when Chipola finally got to Tallahassee starter Derick Garcia.
The Indians scored four run in the sixth and, after Tallahassee got a run back in its next at-bat, added five more in the seventh to end the game.
The same two teams will play again in Marianna on Thursday. First pitch is 6 p.m.
