Stepping Stones: Malik Barrington, Albany State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 12, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College baseball standout Malik Barrington has signed a national letter of intent with Albany State University. 

Barrington, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., appeared in 28 career games for the Eagles in 2017 and 2018. The right-handed pitcher posted a 5-4 record, primarily out of a relief role. 

Barrington lived up to his reputation as a strikeout artist, recording 57 Ks in just 44.0 innings of work for his career. With only 30 career walks, Barrington was just shy of a 2:1 strikeout to walk ratio. 

Located in Albany, Ga., the NCAA Division II Rams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
