#TCCBaseball falls 9-3 to SCF

BRADENTON, Fla. (February 16, 2019) – State College of Florida completed a two-game series sweep of Tallahassee Community College with Saturday's 9-3 win. 

Tallahassee, who had won four straight prior to Friday's loss in game one of the series, is now 7-5. 

SCF got on the board in its first at-bat, scoring a run against Eagle starter Andrew Shivak (1-2) then knocked him out three batters into what became a six-run third. 

Tallahassee got on the board in the fourth when Jeff Athey singled home Tyler Lala, but the Manatees got the run back in the bottom half when Brian Dillingham homered off Tyler Lehrmann

The Eagles plated two runs in the fifth thanks to doubles by Chase Forester, Taylor Lomack and Lala. 

Lala and Cyrus Grimes had two hits each for Tallahassee. 

The Eagles will return to play on Monday when they host the Thomas University JV for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
