#TCCBaseball takes two from LaFleche

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 18, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College's baseball team won its final two non-conference games of the season on Monday, sweeping a doubleheader from LaFleche (Canada) College, 6-3 and 10-2.

The wins improved the Eagles to 19-12 on the season.

In the opener, a two-out rally in the bottom of the sixth erased a 3-2 deficit.

With nobody on, Tyler Lala slammed a solo homer over the left field wall to tie the game. Chase Forester followed with a double and scored two batters later on Taylor Lomack's go-ahead single.

Tallahassee added two more runs in the inning to grab a 6-3 lead and Tyler Lehrmann pitched around a one-walk in the seventh to close out the game one victory.

Lehrmann (4-3) picked up the win in relief of starter Javier Baldor.

Lala, Alex Ray and Ridge Abinsay had two hits each for the Eagles.

In game two, Tallahassee erased a 1-0 deficit with ten unanswered runs en route to the 10-2 win.

The Eagles scored four runs in the second, three in the third and three more in the fifth.

Abinsay had another big game, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Cyrus Grimes was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Trace Moore (2-0) picked up the win for the Eagles, who will resume Panhandle Conference play on Thursday with a 6 p.m. eastern game at Northwest Florida State College.
