#TCCBaseball: Eagles drop series finale at NWF State

NICEVILLE, Fla. (March 26, 2019) – Northwest Florida State College jumped out to a 6-0 lead en route to a 7-5 win over Tallahassee Community College on Tuesday evening. 

Tallahassee dropped three of four games to the Raiders and is now 20-15 on the season and 1-7 in Panhandle Conference play. 

The Raiders scored three runs in each of the first two innings, knocking out Tallahassee starter Andrew Shivak (2-4) after just 15 pitches. 

The score remained 6-0 into the fifth when Tallahassee begin to cut into the deficit. After a one-out single by Logan Lacey, Cyrus Grimes homered to right, and the Eagles added two more runs in the inning to pull within 6-4. 

The Raiders led 7-4 as the game moved to the eighth when Grimes drove in his third run of the night on a fielder's choice. He finished 1-for-4 with three RBIs. 

Cameron Wright and Trent Jeffcoat had two hits each for the Eagles, who open a four-game series with Gulf Coast State College on Thursday.
