#TCCBaseball walks off twice vs. Pensacola State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 6, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College swept a doubleheader from Pensacola State College on Saturday, winning both games in walk-off fashion, 4-3 and 3-2. 

Tallahassee improved to 26-16 overall and 7-8 in Panhandle Conference play. Winners of six of their last seven, the Eagles have climbed within three games of second-place Chipola College in the PC standings with nine games remaining. 

Saturday's games unfolded in remarkably similar fashion, as Tallahassee came from behind before winning in its final at-bat, and centerfielder Taylor Lomack scored the winning run in each victory. 

In the opener, Tallahassee rallied from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth. Then, in the seventh, Lomack led off the inning with a single through the left side and moved into scoring position on Alex Ray's sac-bunt. After Cyrus Grimes was intentionally walked, Ridge Abinsay singled to shallow right-center, easily scoring Lomack from second with the winning run. 

In game two, the Eagles scored twice in the bottom of the second to tie the game and it remained 2-2 into the bottom of the seventh when Lomack, again, led things off with a single. An errant pickoff attempt allowed the speedy Lomack to race all the way to third. 

After Ray struck out, both Grimes and Abinsay were intentionally walked to load the bases. Then Logan Miracle uncorked a wild pitch and Lomack trotted home with the winning run. 

Lomack was 1-for-4 in game two after going 3-for-4 in the opener. 

Forester (5-1) picked up the game one win with four innings of relief, despite giving up three runs in the fourth. 

Tyler Lehrmann (7-3) pitched the final three innings in game two to notch the win.   

The Eagles will look to complete the series sweep when the teams return to Pensacola on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. game.
