#TCCBaseball: Pirates come from behind to down Eagles
PENSACOLA, Fla. (April 26, 2019) – A three-run seventh inning was the difference for Pensacola State College in Friday's 4-2 win over Tallahassee Community College.
Tallahassee (28-22, 9-14 Panhandle Conference) will look to snap a five-game losing streak in Saturday's season finale against the Pirates.
The Eagles took a 2-1 lead to the bottom of the seventh and starter Allen Roulette retired the first two batters he faced. A bunt single kept the inning alive, ending Roulette's evening, and two more singles followed off Tyler Lehrmann (7-5) to tie the game.
After a hit-batsman loaded the bases, Ryan Brewer singled home two runs to give the Pirates a 4-2 lead.
Tallahassee loaded the bases with one out in the eighth but Eric Hernandez and Cameron Wright struck out to end the inning. The Eagles couldn't do anything with a leadoff walk in the ninth.
Trent Jeffcoat, Taylor Lomack and Ridge Abinsay had two hits each for Tallahassee.
Trailing 1-0, Tallahassee tied the game in the fifth and grabbed a 2-1 lead in the sixth following consecutive doubles by Abinsay and Jeff Athey.
Saturday's game begins at 2 p.m.
