TCC basketball assistant Kevin Hogan named to staff at William and Mary

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (August 21, 2012) - Tallahassee Community College men's basketball assistant coach Kevin Hogan has been named Director of Basketball Operations at the College of William and Mary.

Hogan, who previously served on the coaching staff at Florida A&M University (2009-11), joined Eddie Barnes' staff in 2011 as a volunteer assistant.

"We're extremely happy for Kevin," said Barnes. "He was a very positive individual for our program - from a recruiting standpoint, as well as the interaction he had with our current players.

"He has a bright future in this business, and we wish him the best."

Coaching basketball at the collegiate level runs in the Hogan family. Kevin's father, Don, was the men's basketball coach at the University of West Florida from 1993-2009 and is currently the associate head coach on Cliff Ellis' staff at Coastal Carolina.

"I am very excited for the opportunity to be part of such a prestigious academic institution and a basketball program that competes at a high level (in the Colonial Athletic Association)," said Hogan. "I have been very impressed by the level of the organization with which the basketball staff operates, and I'm looking forward to making a contribution to an already strong staff.

"Of course, I regret missing out on the opportunity to coach the players we recruited throughout this past year, as well as our returning players. I will be rooting very hard for them this year."

William and Mary is located in Williamsburg, Va.
