TCC men ends road trip with win over Daytona State

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (November 17, 2012) - FCSAA No. 9 Tallahassee Community College enjoyed a ten-point halftime lead and rode it to a 64-46 win over Daytona State College on Saturday afternoon.

Tallahassee wrapped up its four-game road trip with three straight victories to improve to 4-2 on the season heading into the annual TCC Basketball Thanksgiving Classic presented by G&G Caribbean Restaurant on Wednesday and Thursday, November 21 and 22. 

On Saturday, Tallahassee took a 33-23 lead to the locker room then limited the Falcons to another 23-point half after the intermission. 

Curtis Diamond matched his scoring output from Friday's win over St. Petersburg College with another 17-point effort to lead the Eagles. Jonathan Hood hit 4-of-7 three-pointers en route to a 14-point afternoon and C.J. Washington scored 10 points.   

The Thanksgiving Classic will feature an afternoon session with games at 1 and 3 p.m. and a Tallahassee doubleheader in the evening session with games at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. 

On Wednesday, Tallahassee will host Broward College in the 5:30 p.m. women's game followed by Tallahassee and Marion (Ala.) Military Institute in the 7:30 p.m. men's game. 

TCC Athletics is supporting Toys for Tots on Wednesday evening, as fans who bring an unwrapped toy will receive free admission.
