TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 5, 2013) – FCSAA No. 9 Pensacola State College handed Tallahassee Community College its eighth straight loss, defeating the Eagles, 67-56, on Tuesday evening in Panhandle Conference men's basketball action.

Tallahassee is now 12-12 (0-8 PC) entering the final round of league play, which begins on Saturday at Chipola College. Pensacola State (17-9) improved to 3-5 in PC play.

Pensacola State led virtually wire-to-wire on Tuesday. After falling behind 4-0, Tallahassee took a brief 6-5 lead then tied things at 24-all on a basket in the paint by C.J. Washington at the 7:18 mark of the first half.

Denzel Richardson opened the second half scoring with a three-pointer to extend Pensacola State's lead to 41-29, and the margin remained in double-digits much of the second half.

A 7-1 run, capped by a bucket from Washington, got Tallahassee within five, 61-56, with 2:12 left but that was as close as the Eagles could get.

Washington was the lone player in double-figures for Tallahassee with 14 points.

Qiydar Davis led Pensacola State with 20.
