Southeastern Jamboree Schedule

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 4, 2013) – Eighteen of the top NJCAA men's basketball teams in the Southeast will be in action at Tallahassee Community College on Saturday when the 2013 Southeastern Jamboree tips off at the Bill Hebrock Eagledome and Lifetime Sports Complex.

Saturday's event is also the first opportunity for fans to catch the 2013-14 Eagles in action, as they prepare for the November 1 season opener against Lurleen B. Wallace (Ala.) Community College.

The Southeastern Jamboree will feature 16 teams from Florida and one each from Georgia (South Georgia Technical College) and Alabama (Chattahoochee Valley Community College), all of whom will play in front of coaches representing a who's who of four-year schools nationwide. Each of the 18 teams will play three games, which consists of two 23-minutes halves with a running clock.

Three games will be played simultaneously, starting on the hour, beginning at 10 a.m. when Tallahassee faces Miami Dade College. Other 10 a.m. games include Palm Beach State College vs. Florida State College at Jacksonville and Polk State College vs. South Georgia Tech.

Tallahassee's final two games will be played at 1 p.m. vs. Florida State College at Jacksonville and at 5 p.m. vs. South Georgia Tech.

All three of Tallahassee's games will be played on the floor of the Bill Hebrock Eagledome.

The jamboree field also includes reigning NJCAA Champion College of Central Florida, two-time NJCAA runners-up and reigning Panhandle Conference Champion Northwest Florida State College, 2013 NJCAA Region 8 runners-up Eastern Florida State College (formerly Brevard Community College) and Panhandle Conference foes Chipola College, Gulf Coast State College and Pensacola State College.

In addition to the Tallahassee-Florida State College at Jacksonville matchup, the 1 p.m. round of games will include Chipola vs. Central Florida, the Patriots' first game since winning the national championship in Hutchinson, Kan., in March.

At 3 p.m., the feature game will pit Central Florida against Northwest Florida State in a rematch of the 2013 NJCAA Championship Game.

Other teams participating in the 2013 Southeastern Jamboree include: Daytona State College, Hillsborough Community College, Pasco-Hernando Community College, Santa Fe College and St. Petersburg College.

General admission is $10.
