Eagles Start Season at Quality Inn Classic

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 31, 2014) – The Tallahassee Community College Men's Basketball team is set to tip off the 2014-2015 season by participating in the Quality Inn Classic hosted by Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Fla.

The Eagles will play in two games as part of the classic with their first game being played on October 31 against Volunteer State (TN) Community College and then the following day they will take on Faith Baptist Prep Academy with both games are scheduled for 6:30 pm EST.

This will be the first time that the Eagles have played against either team.

The Volunteer State Pioneers finished last season with a record of 12-15.  Most of the Pioneers' losses came on the road.  The Pioneers averaged 79 points per game but struggled with their offensive efficiency as they finished the season ranked #91 in total offense.

After going 14-14 last season the Eagles look to continue building on the success as the head into a brand new season.  The Eagles return three players from last year, Elmo Stephens, Dirk Williams, and Eric Nottage.   Williams returns as the Eagles leading score having averaged 11.9 points per game.

Coach Eddie Barnes looks to get the Eagles started in the right direction and the Quality Inn Classic will provide the perfect opportunity for the Eagles to start the season off on the right foot.
