Eagles roll past Faith Baptist Academy, 119-56

NICEVILLE, Fla. (November 1, 2014) – Tallahassee Community College went well beyond triple digits on the scoreboard for the second straight day, downing Faith Baptist (Ga.) Prep Academy, 119-56, on day two of the Quality Inn Classic at Northwest Florida State College.

The Eagles defeated Volunteer State (Tenn.) Community College, 118-67, in Friday's season opener.

Saturday's game was never in doubt, as Tallahassee opened the game on a 26-1 run en route to a 65-20 lead at the half.

Norbertas Giga posted a double-double in the first half (12 points, 11 rebounds) and finished with 14 points.

Eric Nottage also added a double-double – ten points and ten assists, his second straight double-digit assist outing.

Rysheed Corbin added eight assists as Tallahassee totaled 28 for the game.

Dirk Williams had 17 first-half points and finished with a team-high 24.

Brandon Cheeks added 13 and Elmo Stephen 12.

The Eagles will travel to Barnesville, Ga., on Thursday, November 6 for a 7 p.m. date at Gordon (Ga.) State College before playing its home opener on November 8 against St. Petersburg College.
