Loss drops Tallahassee to 19th in NJCAA poll
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 16, 2014) – A 76-66 loss to Eastern Florida State College knocked Tallahassee Community College from 11th to 19th in this week's NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Poll.
Losing to the then-24th ranked Titans, who jumped to No. 15, wasn't enough to keep the Eagles from suffering an equally strong drop. If there is a silver lining, Tallahassee (12-2) is one of just three teams in the poll with multiple losses.
The Eagles have now been ranked in three consecutive NJCAA polls for the first time since appearing in eight straight in 2009-10.
Fellow Region 8 and Panhandle Conference school Northwest Florida State College is ranked No. 3. Southwest Tennessee Community College, who handed Tallahassee its only other loss, is ranked ninth.
The next NJCAA poll will be released January 6.
