TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 20,2014) – The Tallahassee Eagles head on the road to take on the Northwest Florida State Raiders on Wednesday January 21.  The Eagle women will tipoff at 6:30pm eastern time with the Eagle men scheduled to take the floor at 8:30pm eastern time.

The women look to add another victory over a top 10 team to their resume and move into a two-way tie for first, with Chipola College, in the Panhandle Conference. The Raiders are currently No. 5 in the NJCAA polls.

This will be the second meeting this season between the Eagles and the Raiders.  In their last meeting back on January 3 the Eagles defeated the nationally ranked No. 4 Raiders 64-59.

In their first meeting the Eagles overcame a 16-point first half deficit to rally back for the win.  The Tallahassee defense assisted with an Eagle's run that saw 13 unanswered points with the final four baskets in the run coming off of Northwest Florida State turnovers.

Daniela Wallen is the team's leader both offensively and defensively.  Wallen averages 16.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

The Raider women are coming off of a 67-54 victory over nationally ranked No. 1 Chipola College on Saturday January 17.

The Eagle men will take on the Raider men in the final game of the night.

Northwest Florida State enters this game with an undefeated record and a No. 2 national ranking.

In their first meeting this season the Eagles suffered a 85-78 loss to Raiders.  The Eagles were unable to hold on to a nine point lead in the first half and struggled with the Raiders offensive attack, which was led by Jalen Jackson.

Jackson leads the Raiders in scoring with 18.3 points per game while Treshaad Williams and Keith Charleston lead the team's rebounding efforts with seven a game.

The Eagles are on a 10 game losing streak to the Raiders that date back to the 2011-2012 season.  Tallahassee's last victory over the Raiders came on February 14, 2011.
