Former Eagle Marlon Johnson signs with New Mexico Highlands
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 15, 2015) – Former Tallahassee Community College men’s basketball standout Marlon Johnson has signed a national letter of intent with New Mexico Highlands University.
Johnson, a native of Chicago, Ill., appeared in 45 games for Eddie Barnes’ Eagles from 2012-14 and averaged 7.3 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting 47.2 percent from the field.
After earning second-team All-Panhandle Conference honors as a freshman, Johnson was ranked the No. 9 player in the country by Next Up Recruits entering the 2013-14 season.
New Mexico Highlands, located in Las Vegas, New Mexico, is an NCAA Division II school who competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
