TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 3, 2016) – Region 8 No. 1 Tallahassee Community College's men's basketball team went on the road Saturday and picked up its biggest win of the season, defeating No. 6 St. Petersburg College, 65-60.
Tallahassee improved to 11-0 with win and snapped the Titans' six-game winning streak. St. Petersburg is now 9-2.
The Eagles took a 29-28 lead to the intermission and led by as many as 13 (50-37) just past the midway point of the second half.
Tallahassee's defense proved to be the difference, holding the Titans to just 35 percent shooting and a season-low 60 points.
Kiair Crouch led four players in double-figures with 15 points. David Simmons followed with 14, Jacob Winston had 11 and Deion Bute added 10.
The Eagles will take a day off then travel to Americus, Ga., for a 7 p.m. game with South Georgia Technical College on Monday evening.
