#TCCBasketball: Eagles dominant in win vs. Roane State

MARIANNA, Fla. (November 10, 2018) – Region 8 No. 5 Tallahassee Community College led virtually wire-to-wire in a 98-64 win over Roane (Tenn.) State Community College in Saturday action at the Chipola College Classic. 

The Eagles are now 4-0 on the season. 

Richard Washington led Tallahassee with 25 points and eight rebounds. Five other players joined him in double-figures. 

Deven Palmer had 15 points, Eric Boone and Jalen Dalcourt both tallied 14, Mustafa Lawrence had 12 on the strength of 4-of-6 shooting from three-point land and Benly Olizia added 11.

Roane State scored the first basket of the game but consecutive baskets by Dalcourt gave the Eagles a 4-2 lead and they never trailed again. 

A putback by Washington extended the lead to double-figures (14-4) five minutes into the game and a 22-8 run ensued, capped by his three-point play at the 7:51 mark of the half. 

Tallahassee eventually led 53-30 at the break and continued to pull away after the intermission. Lawrence's three-pointer capped the scoring and gave the Eagles their largest lead of the night. 

Tallahassee will return to action on Wednesday when it travels to Albany (Ga.) Technical College for a 7 p.m. tip.
