#TCCBasketball: Eagles win 11th straight

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 29, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College's men's basketball team improved to 11-0 on the season with a convincing 97-56 win over Middle Georgia Prep Academy on Thursday evening at the Bill Hebrock Eagledome.

Middle Georgia Prep played the Eagles close for a half, trailing 42-36 through the first 20 minutes. The second half, however, was all Tallahassee.

The Eagles opened the half on a 10-3 run to extend their lead to 13 (52-39) and outscored Middle Georgia Prep 37-7 over the first 11 minutes to blow the game wide open.

Richard Washington, who scored a school-record 45 points in Wednesday's win over Andrew (Ga.) College, had the hot hand once again for Tallahassee. He scored a game-high 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field and just missed another double-double, finishing with nine rebounds.

Four other players joined him in double-figures, led by Deven Palmer with 18.

Eric Boone scored 14, Benly Olizia had 11 and Mustafa Lawrence, 10.

Tallahassee will take the next week off for final exams before resuming play on Thursday, December 6 with a home game against Pasco-Hernando State College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
