Washington, Lawrence lead men’s All-PC selections

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 27, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College placed five players on the men's All-Panhandle Conference basketball teams, as voted on by the league's five head coaches. 

The Eagles' All-PC honorees were led by a pair of first-team selections – Richard Washington and Mustafa Lawrence

Washington, a sophomore guard from Newport News, Va., transferred to Tallahassee after playing his freshman season at Wake Forest. He played in 29 games this season with the Eagles and was the PC's fifth-leading scorer at 16.6 points per game. He also averaged 8.1 rebounds, which ranked second. 

On November 28, Washington posted school-records of 45 points and 10 three-pointers in the Eagles' win over Andrew (Ga.) College. 

Lawrence, a sophomore guard from Newark, N.J., transferred to Tallahassee after player his freshman season at Missouri State. He played in 29 games this season and averaged 13.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists. His 71 three-pointers ranked second in the PC. 

Three players earned second-team All-PC honors – sophomore guard Deven Palmer and freshmen guards Eric Boone and Jalen Dalcourt

Palmer, a native of Hyde Park, Mass., transferred to Tallahassee after playing his freshman season at Quincy (Mass.) College, where he was a NJCAA Division III All-American in 2018. Palmer successfully made the transition to Panhandle Conference basketball, averaging 13.1 points and 4.5 rebounds in 29 games. 

Boone, a native of Lexington, Ky., enjoyed a solid all-around season for the Eagles. In 28 games, he averaged 12.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and a team-high 4.9 assists in 28 games. 

Dalcourt, a native of Lafayette, La., played in 25 games and averaged 11.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 45.4 percent from the field, 38.7 percent on threes and 74.5 percent from the free throw line.
