#TCCBasketball: Gholston named Region 8 Player of the Week

TALLAHASEE, Fla. (November 14, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College's DeAndre Gholston was named the NJCAA Region 8 Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday. 

Gholston, a sophomore guard from Gary, Ind., averaged 18.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.0 steals in three games during the voting period, which included all games played through November 10. 

In wins over Florida State College at Jacksonville, Enterprise (Ala.) State Community College and Spartanburg (S.C.) Methodist College, Gholston shot 66.7 percent (22-of-33) from the field, 50.0 percent (4-of-8) from three and 72.7 percent (8-of-11) from the free throw line. 

He was instrumental in Tallahassee winning each game for a 3-0 start to the season. 

Gholston's top game was against Enterprise State with 27 points (11-14 FG) and seven rebounds.
