Tallahassee-Chipola softball postponed

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 16, 2014) – Tallahassee Community College has announced Wednesday's Panhandle Conference softball doubleheader against Chipola College has been postponed.

The decision to postpone was made due to wet field conditions at the TCC Softball Complex, a result of Tuesday's heavy rain in Tallahassee.

Because they would have no bearing on the final Panhandle Conference standings, regardless of the outcome, the games will not be made up.

Tallahassee, the Panhandle Conference Champions, concludes its regular season with a 34-11 record overall, 18-4 in league play and rankings of No. 2 by the FCSAA and No. 6 by the NJCAA.

The Eagles will now begin preparations for the NJCAA Region 8B/FCSAA Gulf District Softball Tournament in Pensacola, Fla,. May 2-4.
