TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 26, 2014) - Tallahassee Community College, the defending FCSAA State Softball Champion, opens its fall schedule on Saturday with a home doubleheader against High Intensity. 

Game one will get underway at 1 p.m. at the TCC Softball Complex. 

The Eagles' title defense won't begin in earnest until the regular season swings into action in January, but the fall season will give head coach Patti Townsend a prime opportunity to evaluate a roster that has undergone a major overhaul since May's national tournament appearance in St. George, Utah. 

Tallahassee returns only five players from its 2014 squad that won the Panhandle Conference and FCSAA State Championships. The quintet includes reigning PC Pitcher of the Year Mariah Rivera, infielders Danielle Patterson and Karley Yeager, and outfielders Shelby Manns and Taesha DuBoise. 

The Eagles' fall schedule includes a home-and-home series against neighboring Florida A&M University and concludes with a November 13 date down Pensacola Street against the Florida State University Seminoles.
