Eagles sweep Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, remain perfect

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 6, 2015) – The Tallahassee Community College softball team swept both games of their doubleheader against Abraham Baldwin (Ga.) Agricultural College on Friday afternoon in the Eagles' home opener. 

Tallahassee won by the scores of 7-4 and 3-1 to improve to 5-0 on the young season. 

In game one, the Eagles found themselves down early after giving up four unearned runs in the first inning. 

Tallahassee was not out of the fight, however, as it rallied back in the bottom of the third, putting up seven runs.  Brianna Tourtillott got the Eagles on the scoreboard with a bases-clearing double, and Tallahassee eventually added four more runs in the frame. 

Both teams held the other scoreless the rest of the game as the Eagles secured the 7-4 victory. 

In game two, the Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the second to grab the early lead. Tallahassee added an additional run in the bottom of the fourth inning to help secure the 3-1 win over the Fillies. 

Gabrielle Decker got the start and win for the Eagles in game one while Alexandra Cook got the nod in game two and picked up the victory. 

The Eagles will be back in action on February 12 at Santa Fe College.
