Unbeaten TCC heads to Chipola for four games in FPU Classic

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 14, 2015) – NJCAA No. 9/FCSAA No. 3 Tallahassee Community College will put its 7-0 record on the line this weekend at the Florida Public Utilities (FPU) Classic hosted by Chipola College.

The Eagles will play four games beginning at 2 p.m. eastern Saturday against NJCAA No. 16 Walters (Tenn.) State Community College. Tallahassee will play a second game on Saturday – 5 p.m. eastern vs. Georgia Perimeter College – then two more games Sunday, 10 a.m. vs. Miami Dade College and 2 p.m. vs. Hillsborough Community College.

Tallahassee remained unbeaten with a sweep at Santa Fe College on Thursday. The Eagles picked up a 2-1, eight-inning victory in the opener and won 4-0 in game two.

Sunday's game with Hillsborough will be a rematch of last season's FCSAA Gulf District Tournament opener, won by the Hawks. Tallahassee, however, responded with six straight victories to win the tournament and a berth to the NJCAA Tournament in St. George, Utah.
