DuBoise, Patterson earn NFCA honors

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 24, 2015) - Tallahassee Community College's Taesha DuBoise is an All-American.

The sophomore outfielder from Stockbridge, Ga., was named NJCAA Division I Third-team All-America by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), the College announced on Friday.

DuBoise was one of two Eagles who received postseason honors from the NFCA. She and second baseman Danielle Patterson were named NJCAA Division I All-South Region.

DuBoise was a first-team All-South Region pick, thus making her eligible for All-America honors. She appeared in all 50 games during the 2015 season, batting .357 with two home runs, 37 RBIs and 27 stolen bases. She was previously named First-team All-Panhandle Conference and earned FCSAA All-Tournament honors after helping the Eagles to a fourth-place finish in the revamped 16-team postseason tournament.

Patterson, a native of Fayetteville, Ga., was named Second-team All-South Region. She led the Eagles with a .382 average and 42 runs scored and also drove in 17 runs and stole 20 bases. She was previously named First-team All-Panhandle Conference and Second-team FCSAA All-State.
