#TCCSoftball’s Khayreyah Parrish signs with Benedict College

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (August 20, 2016) – Former Tallahassee Community College softball standout Khayreyah Parrish has signed a national letter of intent with Benedict College.

Parrish, a native of Stockbridge, Ga., graduated from TCC in June. She transferred to Tallahassee last summer after Georgia Perimeter College, where she played as a freshman in 2015, discontinued intercollegiate athletics.

As a freshman, she played in 45 games and batted .309 with five home runs, 20 RBIs and 21 stolen bases, helping Georgia Perimeter to the NJCAA Tournament.

With the Eagles, she appeared in 34 games, primarily at second base, and posted a .200 batting average, one home run, eight RBIs and seven stolen bases.

Benedict, located in Columbia, S.C., is an NCAA Division II program competing in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
