#TCCSoftball’s Brooke Marendino lands at Jackson State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 12, 2016) – Former Tallahassee Community College softball standout Brooke Marendino signed a national letter of intent with Jackson State University and is now attending the Southwestern Athletic Conference school. 

Marendino, a native of Lake Forest, Calif., played for the Eagles from 2014-16 and helped lead the team to consecutive berths in the NJCAA District/FCSAA State Softball Tournament. 

In 2015, Marendino and the Eagles brought home a fourth-place finish in the 16-team event, and she was named All-Tournament after batting .615 (8-for-13) and scoring seven runs in six games. 

In 89 career games, Marendino posted a .272 batting average with one home run, 21 RBIs and 24 stolen bases in 29 attempts. 

Academically, Marendino was named All-Panhandle Conference as both a freshman and sophomore. 

Jackson State is located in Jackson, Miss.
