Stepping Stones: Samantha Malik, Akron
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 17, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College softball standout Samantha Malik has signed a national letter of intent with the University of Akron.
Malik, a native of Orlando, Fla., played shortstop for Patti Townsend's Eagles in 2017 and 2018.
In 91 career games, Malik batted .284 with 16 home runs and 57 RBI, including a record-tying 13 home runs as a freshman in 2017.
Malik was a two-time all-academic selection by both the FCSAA and Panhandle Conference.
Located in Akron, Ohio, the Zips play as a member of the Mid-American Conference.
