Stepping Stones: Sidney Mathis, Flagler

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (August 5, 2019)—Tallahassee Community College softball standout Sidney Mathis has signed a national letter of intent with Flagler College. 

Mathis, who is from Columbus, Ga., pitched for head coach Patti Townsend's Eagles during the 2018 and 2109 seasons. 

The 5-foot-8 right-hander won nine games and recorded two saves during the 2019 season. She finished with 13 career victories and 130 strikeouts in 249.1 total innings in the circle. 

Mathis earned all-academic honors in 2018 and 2019 from both the Panhandle Conference and the FCSAA. 

Located in St. Augustine, Fla., the NCAA Division II Saints compete in the Peach Belt Conference.
