Comfort Inn Holiday Classic Capsules

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 26, 2012) – Tallahassee Community College's men's and women's basketball teams will host the Comfort Inn Holiday Classic on Friday and Saturday, December 28 and 29 at the Bill Hebrock Eagledome.

The two-day event will feature a total of eight teams – four men, four women - from Florida and Georgia.

Each day's schedule will include four games – an afternoon session beginning at 1 p.m. and an evening session, featuring a Tallahassee doubleheader, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

General admission is $5 daily for adults. Children 12 and under will be admitted free. TCC students, faculty and staff are admitted free with a valid TCC ID.

On December 28, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will support the Big Bend Homeless Coalition.

Tallahassee Community College

NOTE: Florida State College is making its second trip to Tallahassee. The Blue Wave played in the season-opening Tallahassee Democrat Tip-off Classic on November 2-3.

NOTE: Tallahassee re-entered the NJCAA rankings on December 11 at No. 22. The Lady Eagles were ranked No. 12 earlier in the season after a 4-0 start but fell out of the poll following back-to-back losses on November 16 and 17. Tallahassee hasn't lost since.

NOTE: Georgia Perimeter is currently 0-2 against teams from the Panhandle Conference, having lost to Gulf Coast State and Chipola.

Indian River State College

NOTE: Though they will not square off this weekend, Tallahassee has defeated Indian River State twice this season, with both wins coming in the span of eight days.
