Statement from Tallahassee Community College Athletics

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 18, 2013) - Tallahassee Community College's Athletic Department has released the following statement through the College's Office of Communications & Public Information:

"Head women's basketball coach Teresa Atkinson has taken medical leave for the remainder of the 2012-13 season. In Coach Atkinson's absence, assistant coach Lamar Hamilton will serve as interim head coach, beginning with Saturday's game at Pensacola State College.

"During this time, Tallahassee Community College and TCC Athletics will continue to support Coach Atkinson."

Tallahassee, ranked No. 19 nationally and No. 4 in the FCSAA, will tip-off with Pensacola State at 6:30 p.m. eastern Saturday. The game will be carried by Panhandle Sports Broadcasting at www.PSBlive.com.
