TCC’s Ballard signs with Edward Waters

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (August 5, 2013) – Tallahassee Community College women's basketball standout Natasha Ballard has signed a national letter of intent with Edward Waters College and will join the Tigers' program later this month. 

Ballard, who hails from Thomson, Ga., joined the Lady Eagles' program in 2010 and participated with the team from 2011-13. 

Ballard's participation as a sophomore was limited to the Panhandle Conference schedule, and she averaged 2.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 11 games. She enjoyed her best game against Gulf Coast State College on February 16 when she set season highs in points (10), field goals made (4), field goals attempted (6), three-pointers made (2), three-pointers attempted (2), free throws attempted (2), rebounds (7), assists (2) and blocks (1). 

As a freshman, Ballard averaged 7.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 25 games and was named Honorable Mention All-Panhandle Conference. 

Edward Waters, located in Jacksonville, Fla., is a member of the NAIA and competes in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.
