GAINESVILLE, Fla. (November 22, 2013) - Maria Pacar came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points and Aariel Allen added 17 to lead FCSAA No. 6 Tallahassee Community College past No. 10 Santa Fe College, 63-50, on Friday evening in NJCAA women's basketball action.

Pacar, who saw 33 minutes of action in a reserve role, hit 6-of-9 shots from long distance and 8-of-13 overall en route to her season-high scoring output. Allen, meanwhile, returned to her hometown and enjoyed a stellar game of her own. The former P.K. Yonge standout hit 8-of-11 shots to finish with 17 points. She shared team- and game-high honors with eight rebounds, helping the Eagles to a dominating 39-29 performance on the glass.

Santa Fe scored the first points of the game, courtesy of Jaquasha Sesler's field goal, but Tallahassee answered with a 10-0 run and the Eagles led the rest of the way.

Tallahassee led 37-25 at the intermission and, behind the shooting of Pacar, stretched its lead to as many as 17 in the second stanza.

The Eagles connected on only 24-of-54 shots and 7-of-25 from behind the arc but limited Santa Fe to 36.4 percent (20-of-55) shooting and 2-of-15 (13.3 percent) from three-point range. Tallahassee also forced 23 Santa Fe turnovers.

Addesha Collins added ten points, eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals for Tallahassee.

The Eagles, now 5-2 on the season, will head home to host the annual Tallahassee Democrat Thanksgiving Classic, Tuesday-Thursday, November 26-28. Tallahassee opens play in the Classic at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday against Gadsden State (Ala.) Community College. Walters State (Tenn.)
